Let Us Not Speak of God
Let us not speak of God.
Let us instead finger luminescence;
touch the birth
of color. No, let us not speak
of the divine. Let us instead immerse ourselves in micro
waves of wandering
light –
the first fragments
of illumination, seeking our attention, phantom photons asking us:
how can you forget
when we have never
left?
No. Let us not speak
but only hold holiness close
embrace this body
of space speeding away so fast it leaves behind
light—
